About Glen

I have had a love for pigeon’s most of my life. In early 2002 my son “ J.D. Quimby “ and I started Quimby Game Bird Farm, where we raised 6000 chuker for the local hunting preserve’s and also guided pheasant hunters for the Lazy J from 1999 to 2014.
In April of 2010 we lost our chuker business in a devastating 13,000 acre fire. I definitely have some stories about that day. I started with fancy pigeon’s, Fantails, Helmets, and common pigeon’s that I caught off the top of the school building in the cover of darkness. Mom and Dad let me convert a small shed in the backyard into a pigeon loft. I got my first Homing Pigeons in November of 2003, and began racing young birds in September of 2004. In 2018 I became club President for The Flying For Fun Club in Garden City KS. I started looking into a OLR about 8 years ago and a health issue pushed the start of the Cimarron Valley OLR back to last year. Chad and I are looking forward to handling your birds.
